Weatherproof Canvas Art

After browsing around the pages of pinterest and a visiting a couple of stores downtown, I’ve come across a new garden trend: outdoor paintings! I’ve always loved having lots of art around the house, with the bright colours bringing life to the room. Thanks to outdoor paintings, I have finally found a way to bring my love of art to the outdoors!

Outdoor art is the new trend for outdoors. It is completely weatherproof, and is a perfect way to complement the colours of your garden and patio cushions/umbrellas. These paintings are perfect against brick walls, fences and in mudrooms. We also love the idea of putting a small art easel in the garden and resting a painting on top to fill up some empty space. This garden design tip is trendy for summer 2014 and brings a unique touch to your garden area or mudroom.

Outdoor paintings are sealed with a water protector, making the paintings durable for whatever weather this summer decides to bring us (let’s hope for lots of beach days and tons of sun!) You can purchase waterproof paintings online at various different websites or local shops/art stores. You can also weatherproof your own art with a water seal and inexpensive sprayer. For instructions on how to waterproof your indoor art to make it suitable for outdoors, I highly recommend following these simple instructions: at the blog “7th House on the Left”.

Hope you enjoyed our garden design tip, we love this decorating idea! We hope that this inspired you to do something unique with your outdoor space and garden for summer 2014.
